Given its unique position and opportunities, the coroner’s office promotes organ, tissue, and cornea donations as gifts of life. As a forensic nurse, the Natrona County Coroner is dedicated to promoting and facilitating organ and tissue donation. Our office is committed to carrying out a person’s wishes to be a life-saving donor.
Through our partnership with Donor Alliance and Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank (RMLEB), we make donation an option for the families that we serve. Donor Alliance and RMLEB are not-for-profit organ procurement organizations (OPO) dedicated to coordinating organ and tissue donation in Wyoming and Colorado.
For family members, the death of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult experiences, but donation gives meaning to life, even after death. The decision to be a life-saving donor may offer your family some comfort in knowing that your legacy carries on, and that you have made a difference in the lives of others.
By registering your decision to be a donor, you get the opportunity to give other people a second chance at life. As an organ and tissue donor, you can help save and enhance lives - as many as 25 people or more.
