4-H is a community of young people across America that are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. It is the youth component of the University of Wyoming Extension.
4-H is an informal, practical,
learning-by-doing program for youth. The purpose of 4-H is to assist
youth in acquiring knowledge, developing skills, and forming attitudes
to enable youth to become self-directing, productive members of society.
volunteer staffs provide educational projects and activities in shooting
sports, animal science, family consumer sciences, leisure arts,
citizenship, and leadership.
