No, this program does not guarantee a job in law enforcement. This program gives each Cadet an insight into law enforcement and will give them the tools they need to start any law enforcement career. The Cadet Program will be a great reference on any resume when applying for law enforcement jobs.

* First, you need to contact one of the advisors by email or phone call. * Second, you would come to three consecutive meetings to see what the program has to offer. * Finally, you would fill out all the necessary paperwork and go through an oral board to get voted in.
To join the post you have to be between the ages of 14 to 20 years old.
This program does have a small fee to join. The cost after the Cadet is voted in is $40.00 (subject to change). The fees include the Cadet to be chartered with the post for insurance purposes. The Cadet will be issued uniforms and any other gear the post has in stock. The new Cadet will be required to purchase a pair of black police style boots that can be polished up once voted into the post.
The Natrona County Sheriff Cadet Program help out the community with many events throughout the year. The Cadets usually meet every Wednesday from January - July and then they meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from August - December. Meetings, training and events change from one year to the next.
