Crimson Dawn
The story of Crimson Dawn began in the early 1930s, when founder Elizabeth Neal Forsling, a native Missourian with a knack for storytelling and a keen imagination, hosted a Midsummer's Eve party for her friends and their children.

Soon, the Crimson Dawn area became a haven for area artists and a place where folks could visit and be whisked 1000 miles away from everyday travails. Despite the name's rather clandestine undertones, there's nothing to be afraid of at this unique facility, located on the enchanted slopes of Casper Mountain. Map

Indeed, kids of all ages love visiting Crimson Dawn Park and Museum and hearing the curator's tales about the mythical creatures that have long romped among the trees: witches, elves, and other forest spirits.

Annually on June 21st, the park comes alive with Neal Forsling's story. Celebrate the Summer Solstice on Casper Mountain!

Crimson Dawn is a day use area only and is a great place to picnic in the summer.

Crimson Dawn area use permit to reserve the Woodland Theater is $50.

Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited at Crimson Dawn.
