Community Emergency Response Team
Each year, many communities in Wyoming are rocked by severe weather. In addition, we must prepare for the continual threat of terrorism - even in the smallest of communities. If a disaster or terrorism incident occurs in your community, local government and local responders try to help you, but you need to be prepared as well.

Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) consist of citizens who are trained to take care of themselves and their families first and then help others in their communities in the immediate few days following a disaster.

Signing Up for the CERT Program
This program is offered to the private citizen who desires the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and respond to a disaster. The program consists of 32 hours of training, one night per week for nine weeks. Classes are taught by emergency responders from your community. View more details about the CERT Program.
