A property owner who uses land for the production of Agricultural products can apply to have their land valued based on production rates rather than Fair Value.
- If the owner is using the land, they must generate $500.00 of agricultural product annually to qualify.
- If the owner is leasing the land to an agricultural outfit, the lessee must generate $1000.00 of agricultural product annually to qualify.
- This revenue must be documented with receipts and/or a Schedule F.
- An Agricultural Affidavit (PDF) also needs to be completed in its entirety and notarized.
- Agricultural status is specific to the owner. If property is sold or purchased, the Agricultural Exemption paperwork will need to be completed by the new owner.
For more information or questions about Agricultural Valuation visit the Wyoming Property Tax Division website.
