Private applicator licenses are required for anyone who applies or supervises the application of Restricted Use Pesticides (RUPs).
The four hour private applicator education programs provide an overview of certification requirements, pertinent regulations, pesticide safety and handling, proper disposal practices and more. All participants are required to bring a government issued ID, such as a driver's license, to their session. Upon completion of a program, applications for private applicator licenses are submitted to the Wyoming Department of Agriculture for approval and issuance of licenses. There will be two classes held in Casper. For more information, contact the Agriculture Learning and Resource Center at 307-235-9400.
Due to personnel limits, this year many Northeast Wyoming counties will have only one opportunity for in-person certification. Applicators are welcome to attend any of the offered programs if they have a conflict with the date or time of the session in their home county. Otherwise, they always have the option to take the proctored exam at their local Extension Office. The Wyoming Department of Agriculture license search database is offline, so we have no way to access the lists of applicators whose licenses will expire on April 30, 2024. Please encourage Applicators check the expiration date on their physical licenses or have them reach out to email@example.com with their license questions.
