2. Where is the Casper Mountain Webcam and Weather?

Preparation for a new Casper Mountain Trails Center is underway.  As such, the webcam and weather station will be decommissioned until a new structure is open.  It has been a great resource for the community and rest assured will return when the construction of the new building is complete.

In the meantime, please enjoy images from the Platte River Rod and Gun Club.

The new Nordic Lodge is scheduled to be open by January 2025.

4. How do I get a boat trailer storage permit?

5. How do I put my name on the trailer lottery?

The lottery list will be renewed on February 1st of every year. Anyone wishing to have their name on the list should register in person at the Road & Bridge office on February 1st or the first business day thereafter.

6. When is the Alcova Trailer Lottery?

When a current trailer owner decides to sell their trailer, Natrona County Parks Department will use a software program that randomly selects names from the lottery list.  The Parks Department will provide those names to the trailer owner. To get on the lottery list, you would need to submit a written request by emailing the Parks Department or sending your request to:

The names on the list are valid for one season, February through January. February 1st is the day that the new season's list starts. If you have not been selected but would like to stay on the list, you would need to submit a new request.

7. How do I get to Casper Mountain?

Casper Mountain is located just a few miles South of the City of Casper. You can reach Casper Mountain Road by HWY 258 (Wyoming Blvd.) if you are coming from the East or West sides of town or by going South on Wolcott St. from downtown Casper.

8. Beartrap Festival 2024

Beartrap Festival will not be held at Beartrap Meadow on Casper Mountain in 2024 due to road construction. Please visit the official Beartrap Summer Festival website for more information.
